The Space Wolf Codex cover and the forgeworld model were so amazing that i decided to make a 28 mm conversion.
The conversion is based upon catachian ( head) and Space marine plastic sprue (legs (repositioned), shoulder pads, backpak, forearms, ... and other things you see grey). The bases for the axe and the sword in the back are made with a mix of green stuff and milliput and then dry sculpted.
The rest (the green part  ) is sculpted with guess what ??!

The details seem to be really good!
Though, it could have been even better maybe with more work on the pose: There is a little bit less movement than in the drawing, where the torso is more bended (that's a good way to give a dynamic feel to a sculpt or a drawing).
But the mini is still cool

AWESOME! I think the backpack standard does take away attention from the miniature though. I recommend painting it p, then showing us the results!

This is fantasmagorical,by far the best sculpt I've ever seen!Definately Ragnar as a young pup.The amount of work gone into this is astounding and attention to detail is second to none,notice the larger wolf pelts as opposed to the usual smaller ones.I've always wondered why GW didn't make a smaller version of theirs,you've certainaitely proved i'ts a viable option.Thumbs up mate this is a masterpiece!!!(Don one-solo mafia) | |
