The Coldlands- Gold at Italian GD 2005 - alternate view
This is a quite complex diorama, depicting the ambush of two Bretonnians Questing Kingts by a Ogre Hunter. The Bretonnians were following the blood trace on the snow left by horse slained by the leopard. The knight on foot is running against it, full of rage, unaware of the ambush. The other knight try to warn him but it's too late.. this is the story i wanted to depict. it took me several weeks of hard work. Every single miniature (the gnoblar too, he has a wooden leg!) was converted. For example I changed the pose of the Ogre, adding a spear on his left arm, and added a long tail to the leopards. The knight on foot is a mix of an old Grail Knights torso, lower body from the bret men at arms sprue and legs from the bret knights sprue. This diorama won the gold at the Italian Golden Demon 2005 competition, in the "battle scene" category. See also: # 110273 and # 110721
