This was my entry to UK golden demon 2006 in the warhammer 40k squad category. It did not progress past first round... I will have to try better next year!!
I still like the squad even if the only model that was properly finished was Leman Russ and the power armoured marine.
Rating: 8 DUDE, I don't believe that did not get past the first round. That is just wrong of the judges. I totally love this model. it's so crisp and clean and well presented. Very well done!
Rating: - For the armour colours I used four mixing pots with GW paints... In the first I mixed up a deep blue purple from shadow grey, black, and blood red (I think). Then I mixed up a lighter colour which would act as their base colour probably from shadow grey, space wolf grey, blood red, this was still quite purple but much lighter. The third pot was a much bluer highlight using more space wolf grey and same colours from second pot. The fourth mixing pot was the same as the third but with fortress grey in it... Then any final highlights I used space wolf grey.
Rating: 9 Great man! I love pre heresy pieces. You have captured Lemans`s size well. He`s in artificer armour and towers over the terminators just like it should have.
