Rating: 6 Ok Here goes. A little shading perhaps with some chestnut ink or GW's Flesh wash (well watered down & add a little washing up liquid to the mix) just below the mouth down the creases of the beard and on the gold/brass on the axes. Highlight with yellow drybrushing on the beard and your well on the way. Try using a little Bleached bone (or it's equivelant) as a mix-in lightener for browns works nicely.
Your work has a lot of promise keep trying and good luck.
Rating: 5 Not bad at all for first try! Pick up detailing more on the skin tones and adding depth by shading the clothes. Even dry brushing his beard a lighter orange or yellow would have made the deatiled hair sculpts really jump out! Keep up the good work
