I tried something different with the metal parts on this. I used metallic paint for the midtones and used non metallic paint for the highlights and shadows. I think the sky earth nmm theory does not work on large curved surfaces. Anyway I kind of like this. Please tell me what you think.
Rating: 7 This pseudo-nmm looks strange. I have tried on my minis this technique before viewing ur mini but only for the very highlights. In ur case it looks like too much contrast between metal and non-metal colours. I think a kind of blended non-metal with metal colour would work better. The rest of the mini is very well executed, so it deserves a 7.5 (I will vote twice to give u that 7.5 )
