Vostroyan Sniper

This is the Vostroyan Sniper I painted for the UK Gamesday 2006 project. Deliberately he is painted in slightly muted colouring as I though he’s have spent some time scrabbling around in dim and dirty corners trying to not get seen while selecting a target. I’ve used Vallejo Black Glaze as a very thin wash to help give additional tonality. One thing that puzzles me with this figure is the use of leaves on the Gillie Cloak. The Vostroyans were released to be part of the Cities of Death book scheme, so why leaves? Go figure? (Pun intended :D)

Looks like the model's been dipped, not much tonal range on the red, could do with more definition on the border between the red coat and the brown trousers, especially on the model's left leg. Areas of the model look unfinished as in the ?metal? under the red cloak and there are areas which look scrappy such as the grey chest plate. The rust looks off too, it's in too straight a line.

This model makes me think Que? For the Model seems to have gotten more credit than it should.
