Necron Lord with Lightning Field and Warscythe
I wanted a Necron Lord for my army that was designed for melee combat, to go in with my Flayed Ones. So, I designed one with a warscythe, gaze of flame, lightning field, and resurrection orb. I used half of a Destroyer Lord kit for the rez orb, scythe, and body. The legs were normal Warrior legs. I used stone and the resin skulls from a Citidel Hero Basing kit. The banner on the scythe as well as the roots growing out of the base are from Wood Elf accessories. The lightning is hand made from jeweler's wire. The wooden base on the final picture is hand-made from a raw wood plaque base I bought at a craft store, and stained and varnished myself. The model is held on with magnets, so it may be removed for play as needed. I'm particularly proud of this model because I found ways to make it completely WYSIWYG, even though there are no guidelines or model bits for the lightning generator or gaze of flame.
