Teclis - interpretation

I sculpted this guy back in Summer 2008. A lot of work, but fun and challenging to do and even more fun to paint.

I tried to create a more elegant and dynamic version of the magician. The inspiration comes mostly from Paul Dainton's artwork, but I also looked a lot at Jes's old Teclis model from 1993 as well as the HE artwork in "The Gothic and the Eldritch".
Apart from this, I also have had this idea of a cape in three parts that I wanted to try out....

There is the robes of an Eldar underneath, and I used part of the original staff and a plastic moon. The rest is sculpted using greenstuf or Milliput.

I´m a fan of the High Elves and I love this Teclis miniature, so good the movement and perfect sculpt work. Keep up the good work, greetings from Spain.

You're sculpting seems to evolve all the time! I think this overall is great. My nitpick is (as I said in UK) that the robes of the Eldar you based it on are a bit thick and they don't have enough depth in the sculpting. That makes the entire mini less delicate then if you'd have sculpted it all or filed the robes down more (more apparent IRL as well). The rest of the converting/sculpting is great! I notice the staff head from old teclis! Sven

Simply fantastic sculpt, the GS work is perfect, so smooth and very much the GW style. I wish this was the GW version of Teclis so I could get my hands on it! Can't wait to see the finished paint job mate!

Top notch sculting here Jakob, Cant wait to see him painted. You have created a dramatic Elf with loads of movement, keep them coming.
