Assault on Black Reach Ultramarines Sergeant

This is my first experience with miniatures painting. Will appreciate all critics and explanations on what to do to improve quality of th miniature. So far I can say that I didn't quite get the proportion to mix paints with water.

Oh, a couple of more things I came to think of. First, extreme close-ups like this is a bit daring, you would probably get a better score with some distance to the miniature. Next, go back with your basecoat colour to fix small mistakes on freehand designs and stuff. Last, the face has great potential - well done. An ogryn flesh wash and a couple of highlights would really make it pop even more.

Not shabby at all for a first try. Don't worry, you will soon figure washes and highlights out, and then you will quickly make progress. Dont forget to check out a couple of tutorials on the web, it'll get you started (GW:s 'how to paint Ultramarines' is not bad).
