Manta: Nova 1 (Scratch Built)

I built this manta for 40dollars out of blue and white foam, spray foam, paper mache, and polymer clay. I wanted to put this nova picture on a manta but didn't know anyone who owned one.

Bohun, Thank you for actually giving a critique. The models shadow/highlight/modulation was actually originally included as I started painting it but decided to remove said detail as it detracted from the explosion even when it was done subtly with black to midtone gray, purple, or blue. Yes this means I need to find a way to include said detail more subtly yet, and may when I feel like working on it again. While I respect your passion loosing your cool (!) does little to enforce your message as it makes one wonder why you lost your cool. And thank you for the comparison to Yellow One. I found that most flattering even if it is unfounded.

The freehand is obviously very well done, but the rest of the ship is mostly just basecoated with no reflection/shadows painted. That is what makes it a different work from YellowOne's Eldar machinery. While the quality of the freehand is similar, the rest of the paintjob is done equally good. So this one is just a nice painting of a nova that could as well be done on canvas, wall or a snowbards, and therefore hasn't got much in common with miniature painting at all!
