I started working on this figure after coming home from ReaperCon 2008, and within a few weeks had everything done but the weapons and base. And then she sat for almost a year, waiting. Finally I went back to her to get her ready to take to ReaperCon 2009. I didn’t just finish the weapons, but went back over her and retouched almost everything but the coat. I felt the base needed a little something, so added the treasure chest. (The rope tie thingy on the back of the base was made from the top of a fancy wooden toothpick.) ReaperCon started using the Open style of contest judging in 2009. I was very pleased that this figure was awarded a Silver medal in the Painter Category. It was also voted one of the top three Reaper-made figures in that category by Con attendees, for which I won a Silver Sophie Trophy.
