Thanks Ace, the paints definitely need to be thinned. These were painted with some 50 cent craft paints, which i wanted to try experimenting with, the coverage is terrible, and thinning doesn't help, but as you pointed out, red/orange is forgiving.
looks good, especially for an assembly line model. two easy things that would make this look 10 times better. try thinning out your paints a bit, it makes a world of difference. also some slightly more extreme highlights would help a lot, luckily I think orange and red are very forgiving for extreme highlighting. keep up the good work.
