Hive Tyrant (NOCF)
First time posting on CMON and excited to get more work up here! This time around I'm posting up pics of my contributions to the Battle of Macragge armies for the NoVA Open Charity Foundation. This Hive Tyrant was one of the models I painted up as part of the Scythes of Behemoth force that is going to get auctioned off at the event with proceeds going to the Doctors Without Borders charity. The build called for two twin linked devourers and I thought it would look cool to model it as one biomorph that "picked up" four individual devourers turning them into one mega-fun. First time painting 'nids and I quite enjoyed it although I had to knock this guy, a Mawloc, and six warriors out in less than two weeks due to some scheduling issues on my part. It's been a real pleasure working with the other incredibly talented artists on this project and supporting such a great cause.
