Pegasi (Pegasus) & Wood Sprite Diaroma

This is my first attempt at a diaroma. Sadly the clear coat I grabbed was not matte finish, but gloss. The gloss coating also messed up the snow, which now looks like a spring mush. The reason I painted this was for the Gen Con 2004 painting competition. I already started the two pegasi for myself and found a great accent figure in the Reaper catalogue. I would love to hear everyone's comments on this. If there is anything I should improve on, please let me know. :) (please excuse the different colours in the two cut-outs. My camera does that sometimes.)

The composition would be better if the wood sprite was placed higher than pegasi IMO. I like the pegasi but I think the picture is too small to judge the sprite. For the gloss coat you could spray a dull coat like Testor's, or using Humbrol matt coat (the old one) with the brush.

I wish I could see some close-ups, especially of the female figure. You could try some Testor's Dull-Cote to see if it would take off the gloss.
