Archaon

Hey all. Here's the larger picture, as requested. Sorry about the wait! For those who have not seen it, this is an Archaon model I painted up for a local GW competition, and I currently have it up on E-bay. Glad to say it won, too, as I put a fair amount into it. The cloak is painted with a flame motif, as is the tattoo on the horse. I wanted the tattoo to look more like it was being burned from the inside, as opposed to just being branded. The sword blends (nicely, in my opinion) from red to pale green at the tip, and is highlighted by lightening. The final detail would be the reins, which are inscribed with chaos runes and the symbols of all four Chaos lords.

Three gripes: -It'd be nice to see the tattoo on the horse, since you talk about it in the wrtie-up. -The little spikey things coming out of the base are a little too bright and distracting for my taste, especially since blue isn't represented anywhere on the model itself. -I understand what you're going for on the cloak, but the design would look a little better if it were painted to look as though it were there for the cloak's entire life, not added after the cloak became tattered along the bottom. So perhaps a little less uniform and a little more weathered looking?

I've deleted the original pics of my Archaon. I don't like to have my points inflated by multiples of the same pic...
