Easley Dragons Set # 1
Here's my version of Dark Sword's first (I believe) dragon sculpted from a Jeff Easley drawing. The miniature example on the box was done by the awesome Matt Verzani and my version pales in comparison to his, but I think I prefer my color selections over his slightly pink shade. Reds were done with an airbrush and washes using shades of dark purple, red, and orange. The blues are a blue-gray paint (steel blue from Rackham?) mixed with white. Lots of experimentation with the base. Resin rocks were put together to make it look similar to a rocky outcropping, also with some greenstuff and tile grout. (!) My first time using the now ubiquitous Hudson & Allen Forest Litter; I tried to cram it inbetween rocks and tight locations to make it seem like a fall base. I'm pretty happy with that. This was finished in September 2006.
