Converted Oldblood on Carnosaur GDUK 06 Finallist

This is another repost with better pics of one of my previous posts I have now pulled. This model was great fun the idea was to get more movement in the carnosaur model and give the impression that he was rearing up and roaring.. There are lots of little things done to this model including removing all the spare metal between claws and teeth to give a bit more "realism"..Lot's of extra spiky bits.as well as reins and a longe more reptillian tongue. There are 3 extra body sections Greenstuffed in to give a more sinuous shape to the body. I ended up taking this to GDUK although it sn't finished properly yet I still have a backbanner and a few more spikes to add as well as various totems and trophies. still I'm happy with the overall effect and will post pics when rest of work completed.

This is a nice model, and i appreciate your skulpting skill. However, to me it seems as if there is a spear or something sticking in the Carnosaurs back and he is recoiling. It seems unnatrual but great model nonetheless.

7 For me, average painting , average convertion, it is tabletop level, may be quite more. Nice but unpretentious, as rating. but 8.9 : /....poor cmon...

Dude, the sculpt is incredibly nice, very dynamic and coherent. But the painting is really strange... The colours you've chosen really aren't that good... I've never seen such colours on hunter reptiles, only on tropical toads... And the fact that the colours are so strange draws the eye from the effects and the technique... Too bad! Awesome conversion, bad colours. Dommage.
