Freehand Ultramarines Land Raider

Well I started this one over a year ago now.. I've had it sat at my desk and usually use it as a warm up piece before painting or to try out new techniques and materials. Finally decided a few weeks ago to go ahead and finish it. The idea was originaly to just have a go at doing vaious shapes ad patterns the idea using a freehanded pattern that done in the same shades would give an overall solid blue colour. other things I tried on this were multiple osl on the headlights.. various materials colours and techniques for weathering. I recommend anyone to have a go at something like this. Just pick a big model with lot's of flat areas..don't stress yourself about when your gonna finish and just practise practise practise. If nothing else it just teaches you how to make shapes. trust me after doing something like this painting a squad of ultramarines with freehand markings is a doddle..
