Roper (Rock version)
This is a resin cast of a figure I sculpted in December 2002 and finished painted in January 2003. It was a quick paint job; probably 2 hours total. It is inspired by the Roper monster on page 156 in the 3rd edition D&D Monster Manual. It's about 55 mm from the base to the top of the head. The three white strands are brass wires that were glued in and bent after the figure was cast, as I didn't think it would be possible to have strong enough strands made of resin. The eye and strands were given a gloss coat to give them a wet look. This is the first version that I sculpted; the second one (painted as ice) is #15968.
