I did this mini for the Golden Demon UK 2000. The Idea came from V ictor Hardys Bloodthirster model with which he won the US Slayer Sword. The Wings were total new sculpts and took alone about 4 Weeks to complete.

the wings are fine. they give a nice other-world look.

Love the shading and the colour scheme but I agree the wings are a bit too much of a primary blue - it unbalances the overall effect.
