I used .005 prima micron pens for the runes. As far as the paint being thickish in places. Yeah I was using some paint that was a little old so I was having trouble with it drying to fast. I have since remedied the problem. Its fine for me as I dont really paint showpieces I paint for wargaming but I like to have really nice gaming pieces.

I love the runework, did you paint all of those or use a fine-point pen?

Seems to me the paint is somewhat too thick (see helmet, lower cloak...). Maybe some more thinning would help?
