I realise this is about the third comment of mine on this thing, but going by the look of it, hes painted it using german WWII aircraft as a base.
Not copying, cause you still have to be able to pull it off.
And I could definatly see the germans having something like that done up, so, for me, its almost a historical model level job.
Base and background be damned!
Your Thunderbolt is highly underrated. The weathering job is really nice. I think the lack of a fancy backdrop means people aren't taking the time to judge this model fairly because it's probably one of the most realistic airplane models I've seen. If I can free up some funds I might think about voting with my eBay account.
