Scanning in minis never seems to do them justice, what are the best lenses to get for 35 mm cameras for photographing minis? ... not that I am making excuses for my paint job.

My recommendation would be a digital camera, since that way you can take tones of pictures. Depending on the cost of the macro lens, or extension tube it could be a similar ball park. Additionally you get more immediate feedback from the digital opposed to having to wait for the film to develop. Your mini's are looking good. Practice seems to be the best thing. Have you done anything lately?

AS Chern An states macro lenses are great . However if you have an older 35mm camera look for extension tubes. An 11mm tube will get you down seriously close, use standard or wide angle lenses. Word of warning the bigger the picture the bigger the errors show up. Your Mini's looking good but IMHO you need to work out your shdows & highlights a little stronger.
