Night Goblin Shaman

This is my first serious painted mini. Yes, I did a few slap-up jobs years ago for the Hero Quest game I used to have, but my son (aged 14) has just started collecting and playing Warhammer Fantasy - and I have joined him in my second childhood ;-) My set is Orcs and Goblins and I will post my pieces as they are completed. I intend to paint them to above average tabletop pieces as they will be part of a playing set, not display or painting competition pieces, but I do welcome any comments on technique, color choices and impressions on final product. My tools are standard set Citadel brushes, paints and flocking (although the sand is straight bricklayer's sand at 1/20th the price of Citadel modelling sand). Pieces have been clipped and glued with simple tidying of extrusion points, primed with spray-on Citadel Chaos black and once completed, sealed with spray Citadel "Purity Seal". The mini has been scanned and saved in .tif file format at 600 dpi, cropped, each view composited to a single picture, resized and finally compressed 40% to .jpg format.

Welcome. For a first time miniature, this is good, and definitly above table standard. You might want to try a little bit of shading on the skin. Even a dark green in between the fingers can help make a miniature look just that little bit better.

Welcome to the fold skeeter. There are a lot of mature painters on ths site. Check the forums and join in. Your mini is excellent for a first serious piece, but there are a lot of things, non-GW you could be tempted with. Keep up the good work!
