Black Orc Warboss with Banner

This is my second painted Warhammer mini - I spent a little more time on this mini than my first as this piece is more significant on the table-top. My set is Orcs and Goblins and I will continue to post my pieces as they are completed. I intend to paint them to "above average" tabletop standard as they will be part of a playing set, not display or painting competition pieces, but I do welcome any comments on technique, color choices and impressions on final product. This Black Orc I chose to paint in somewhat subdued colors - a more earthy feel perhaps.

The skin is calling out for highlights as well, particularly the face and maybe you could do something with the eyes.

I like the dark purple of the banner, and the skin is very well done. I don't disagree that you'd benefit from a very more highlights. The red and white tassel on the banner seems out of place and distracting. This could be an excellent mini with just a little more work.

Your paintjob is really quite good. My only suggestion is to highlight it a little further. There are a lot of good details on the face and the armor that get lost because there's not enough contrast.
