CMON Contest 14 - Akkazu from Enigma Miniatures

I love this mini - so much character and a beautiful sculpt! This is the first time I've painted a darker skintone, and the first time I've attempted NMM - I was aiming for copper, but I'm not too sure it ended up there... all comments are gratefully received!

Jarhead - I completely agree with your comments - thinking back on it now perhaps copper was the wrong colour to be aiming for with so much orange already on this mini - I was trying to theme the colours across the mini, obviously with mixed success (and being a bit rushed I suppose sensible thinking went out the window). Thank you for commenting - plenty more practice needed for me I think! :)

I really like that chosen skin on her... the skin looks very good, in fact i guess taking a photo of such a dark skin isn't easy... i also love the simple but effective base ... the only thing i am a bit irritated about her is the very similiar colours you've chosen for her leather and the blade... there i personnaly think it would have been a chance to make those single parts pop out more in bringing them in some colour contrasts... Whatever i am talking here... i really like here and i am really fascinated on the different ways all the other painters went on her... Keep on happy painting! Regards jar
