NMM Pariah

This is the third time I've tried any kind of NMM, and instead of going for a SkyEarth look, which I thought would be too shiny, I went for something that sort of came up as I went along. It feels like brushed metal to me and I'm quite happy with it. In fact, that's the only reason I chose this figure, it's all metal! This is also the first time that I've ever experimented with on-miniature lighting as well and was inspired (weren't we all) by Victoria Lamb beautiful work, and her articles helped me out a lot. Thank you Victoria! I'm not planning on using this little guy for anything as I choose not to play GW's 40K, just a practice piece I can experiment new things on, so please be honest. I'd really like to hear some comments on this so go hard!

Hmm I just looked again; that was a way harsh review and your fig is more deserving of an 8. I like the look of dappled, marble portion of the staff especially.

Not very successful NMM but nice looking all the same. I like the light source but on the right leg the intensity should have faded considerably. Overall a good looking mini though, definitely above gaming standard. I want to rate it 6.5 but I can't so have a 7:)

It looks very cool, but I'm don't like how the chest and weapon look...still need some work there, I think. The head and legs look awesome, though, so keep working on the NMM stuff! The lighting is a great idea and you've done fairly well, but I think it's a bit heavy handed...the glow should get fainter as it's further from the source, right? Still, a great model to work on for these techniques and a very well done effort!
