Valten, Empire Hero

Well here he is all finished and based. I've put together the base to finish him once and for all. I've used Techstar snow for the snow-type base (well... duh) and the base is solid rimu (a wood native to NZ). I'd still like to hear some feedback about what else one can do with this techstar stuff, it seems truely like amazing stuff but using superglue to get it fixed on is a real hassle. I hadn't initially planned on adding the bloodspray but once I'd put the snow on it really had a large clear area in front that I felt just need a little something... I'm not planning on painting the mounted version of this fella despite what everyone keeps asking, but I might come around eventually.

WOW great mini, the only thing is the hammers they are in to much contrast to the rest of the mini and pull your attention to them to soon. If the hammers were a little more in keeping with the rest of the mini I would give you a 8.5

I think the sky-earth-NMM is to "hard", the borderline (?). even on a snowy lanscape! Sorry about my orc english!

7.5 really. I think he looks quite good, although the eyes seem really rough. I like the trousers, but not the mark on his chest - it kinda needs to be discoloured to work, as it is supposed to be scar tissue. The base looks excellent. I've had good results with snow by using Kat's method of mixing up a past with snow, water and pva. One last thing - I hope your Rimu is recycled :) Gorgeous wood, one of my favourites.
