My first Ultra, turned to be real fun to paint.

Hi! First of all, thank you for the comment you left on my version of Krom Dragongaze! I've got quite a soft spot for Ultramarines, since they were not only my first army (and the reason for which I entered the hobby), but they're also my ongoing army project. And they helped develop my personal style. ;) I like your painting style. Crisp and clean highlighting, soft shades and the classic lens style. Your basing looks good as well; a bit plain (which is in no way meant as an insult, but rather stems from my lack of vocabulary), but simple, effective and authentic. Especially the final highlights appeal to me; this is exactly the way I would do them myself. Thumbs up for that! The drybrushing, however, is a little too rough in some areas; especially the around boltgun and the upper thighs. The latter could also have profited a lot from some highlighting - on the other hand, I'm quite sure this is a part of the body the sunlight rarely ever touches (especially with shoulders as broad as a Space Marine's), but I feel that modelwise it would have been a good idea. 6 for the paintjob, +1 for an Ultramarine. Keep up the good work and... please, paint up some more Ultramarines! :)
