Saim-Hann Wraithknight

This is a really clean Wraithknight painted for play. The red was all done with airbrush Citadel paints (diluted)followed up with oil washes to add depth of shadow and then some glazes to bring the red back up. I'd love some tips on how to make the red pop more.

cb_rex, Good call on the purple recesses. I had been shading the red with a touch of black added to the mix but adding some warm/cool color modulation could bring it to a new level. Glad you liked the sword! Here's a better view of it.

This is great, it has a great strong red colour with a lovely sheen to it. I'm not too keen on the base, but I think the pink sword is awesome. The red could have had a hint of purple in the recesses to give it more colour richness and maybe some tiny edge highlights here and there, but I think for this type of giant alien robot model the satin red look you've achieved is perfect.
