Thanks for the comments. @Scarface: The green and black dropshadow is (mostly, but not entirely) airbrush. Everything else is brush only. I don't think anyone would want to make masks for the thorns, because it is faster to just paint the gradient with a brush than cutting and applying a fitting mask and reworking the outlines after spraying. :)
