Large Air Elemental (Clear Resin)

I put together a couple of Air Elementals which in D&D would be in the "Large" category. The original sculpture was 4 Super Sculpty twirls which I glued together and modified with green stuff. These were finished in December, 2003. Eventually I'll do a similar sculpture for a water elemental. This is the first time I've done a figure out of clear resin in a two part mold; up to this point, all my clear resin figures were in one piece molds with an open top. (The base of the figure is flat, in these cases.) This is also the first time that I've experimented with mixing colors in with the resin. I actually used clothing dye because it was the only thing that my local Craft store had that would work. I go from no dye in Figure 1 to the scientific value of "quite a lot" in Figure 5. Which figure do you prefer?

I like 3, the suggestion of shadow inside it is more effective. It's hard to control where the dye ends up, eh?

I like the middle three the best. Maybe next try, add green flock and gravel in the resin to make it really look like it's sucking up the ground. Nice job, keep on creating!

Oh! They are all really great but I prefer "1".
