Sir Malcom, Templar Lightbringer

Sir Malcom, Templar Lightbringer, from Reaper's Warlord range, mounted on a GW Titan-sized base. The stones on the base are made from plasticard, and the model has been given some minor conversion work by repositioning his right hand, so he's pointing the sword. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this miniature, as it's my most extensive use of silver NMM to date, and I think things came together nicely (particularly on the armor). The fleshtone on the model is a bit more of an olive color than I usually use, and I went in and added some very subtle razor stubble greying to the back and sides of his head, showing that he shaves his head to avoid looking like a knight who might suffer from male pattern baldness. Oh- this miniature was painted up for a friend of mine as an X-Mas present, taking into account some ideas he had when I showed him the unpainted model on Reaper's page. He's an avid D&D player, and hopefully the model, along with the brief bit of backstory he came up with earlier, will allow the model to see some use in a campaign as his player character. Larger pictures of Malcom are over at my Pbase site (www.pbase.com/badaab) in the Reaper Miniatures Gallery. I've included the direct link to the picture below for the lazy. Badaab - Noodleboy isn't insulting you. Rather, he is telling Finn17 it's silly to hold back the score due to the sculpt of the model since you were not the sculptor (Reaper was). Also, his '6' vote happens to be the default score when you post a comment, I suspect he just forgot to change it to be a bit higher. Nice work btw ! - Jarrett

Thanks folks, well, except for Noodleboy, because I'm not sure I understand your criticism of my paintwork/conversion, and it comes off sounding more like a personal insult than actual criticism when paired with your vote of a 6? Honestly, I think my work is well above that level, especially this piece. Joe
