I got this model from a friend, one of a small set of castings he found. It is based on the creature of the same name in Larry Niven's Ringworld series.

A *severely* underrated miniature here. The base work is excellent, and it's very faithful to the description of the puppeteers (which I've had described to me and I've seen a picture in that Barlow's alien species book, but I've never read the book.)

I'm sorry but this mini's sculpt is really ugly. And to get this mini above a 5 requires some heavy conversions and a miracle of a paint job. This looks like something a elementary school kid would make in art class. But the sculpt isn't your fault. And I applaud your attempt to work on this mini. But the only thing here I like is the basing.

I got the book somewhere, but the only other place i've seen this is Marlow's Guide to Extraterrestrials, which the mini and the paint job follows flawlessly..Maybe this'll get me to read the book now.. :P
