Tsuko - Reaper #2512

Gf decided to paint him coloured telling the body would have been better and powerful looking .. seems she was right.. The pants white are much more " monk style" the the suggested red... We like the result much more then the suggested painting scheme. Comments are welcome as always.. D_S

Yeah, I think the key to the highlighting is that on highlights, you can go lighter than what would seem 'realistic' and get a realistic effect. His skin tones look a bit one-dimensional, but dark skin really works well on this fig. Maybe a matte finish would be nice too...kinda shiny. Real nice job on the pants and details! Good 'homespun linen' color there. Also, it looks like one of the staff sections is bent - you might want to take care of that before painting. I wish I could hit the tiny details with such precision...very nice!

Yeah, the skin is whats killing your rating here. Maybe a nice dark inking would help, then drybrush on some highlights. I like the pants though.

Whoa!. This is one bad ass bruddah. I agree completely, the choice of ethnic background does lend this model a lot more character, and fits the phisicality of the mini better. Although the pants are nicely done, I do feel the skin requires some more highlighting, taking some extra care to emphasize features like the nose, lips and cheekbones. The braces are a bit too similar in color to the bare skin to really stand out.
