I realise this is from years ago, but I have only just returned to painting after an absence of nearly 8 years. Thanks for the comment. The Grey base is just a basic stone finish. The large white thing it is standing on is just a lid turned upside down for the purpose of taking the photo, it isn't intended as a base. However your comment made think about doing a proper base for this figure, and maybe just a couple of little touch-ups to smooth things out. Thanks again.
This mini is seriously under-rated. The blue skin tones are fantastic and the sword looks great. Maybe folks don't like the unfinished base. I think you would get much higher scores by simply finishing the base. very nice paint job.
