Figures from Mice and Mystics game
One of the first sets of minis my daughter and I painted. This was my first experiment applying a shade (green) to an almost white basecoat. I expected it to look like a dirty mess because of the difference in luminance between the two, but I like the effect! Same thing happened with the seashell shield. I should try dark color shades with white basecoats more often. I also tried to achieve a wet look on the frogs by applying a satin varnish. Do you think it worked? To give the rat figure's armor more shine, I tried experimenting with drybrushing metalics, such as on the shoulder pads. This was also possibly my first attempt to achieve a glowing effect (tail of the glowworm), but I think I need to master OSL for that to work. Comments / critiques welcome!
