i like the metals and the base, but im not keen on the skin/flesh. th previous commentor has some good suggestions, but i cant stress enough the importance of washes when painting skin.
Thank you for your comments and advice. I am still a beginner at this style as more used to paint 10 figures for massed battles in one night rather than taking two night for one!. You assumptions are correct. The other view I have for this figure is in some ways better and may post it later.
Some interesting ideas here and a different look for this guy. It looks like you did some significant drybrushing/painting over a black undercoat. FWIW You might want to try painting a solid dark color first and then play with colors on top of it as it'll give a much more subtle look to the figure. Black tends to be too high contrast to the colors above it.
