Painted in Nov/Dec 2001, and I used purple after the D&D Ghoul picture. I love the eye in the skull in the hand of the center ghoul. I think the bones on the ground for the first ghoul turned out quite well.
Nice stuff. But purple? Eh, it works. Nice and clean. Since these guys are bright and kinda cartoony, it's ok for the bones to be so white instead of yellowed or browned from stains. The base is simple, but nice.
They look very nice. Good scary Ghouls, Pickman would be proud.
I want to pass on something that was pointed out to me. Bones don't turn white until after long exposure to the sun. Fresh bones are more a rust brown from the blood both in and on them. Since there is an eye in it, that's a very fresh skull and should be a pinky/rust color.
