Elrond of Rivendell

I really like this mini and after practising some nmm I finally decided to paint him with it. my sword still need a lot of work and i know i need to tidy up the gold. Comments and suggestions most welcome.

It's obvious to see that you have a lot of knowledge about what to do when painting and where to put which color paint... However the thickness of your paint and perhaps the width of your paintbrush are both bringing you down pretty fast. I would suggest going out and getting some really nice paint brushes and make sure to always keep your paints at a near watercolor consitency. Also I agree with the comment about the NMM... The brownish red simply isn't making the cut. Mark

Looks pretty good, and much better than 5.1. First, I know that this miniature is like a tenth of the size it is in the picture. The eyes are very big, but that can be fixed so easily; just take a small brush and paint a line of elf flesh (bright flesh color) under and above each eye, which will make them smaller and much more realistic. Keep working on your blending and your NMM. For the gold, start from more of a brownish color than the red color you used and go to almost white. Good work.
