On my witty comment side: Troll vs Flagellent? Given that he's facing the wrong way, and the troll has that expression... shouldn't it be Troll vs. Flatulent? :)
In serious comments.. Very very nice work. Flesh tones on both, consistant shading, and a fine, fine base, though I'd put something else on the left for a bit more balance. The tree hauls attention toward the right side more. The overlooking bird is all but saying 'Nevermore'... about the Flagellent. He looks like he's about to get brained, and doesn't know it.
