this guy has taken a long time:(...
i'm totally ashamed of myself for slackin'...
the unit entry for the B&C contest took up too much time...

the arms are glued on, and the last cables get sculpted tonight...
he will really come together in the next update...

i don't have anything in line in front of this mini on the painting table, so he should be finished by the end of the month at the latest...

cheers

hey CMON...

almost done with this build...
i'm really itchin' to paint this guy...

the arms are on, and the last of the cables are sculpted...
he just needs a few blood vials sculpted on, and maybe another strand of hair or two on the right side (your left), where i feel that it's out of balance with the side that is all bunched up by his collar...
the skull shoulder pad needs a vial hanging down, and i will place a few vials in place of where the syringes hang on the original mini...
i think the syringes look silly, and in the latest novel a flick of a switch turns the vial into an Exsanguinator (which is what i believe the syringes represent)...

enjoy:

Hi JahMinis, a couple of hair strands that don't drop quite as far as the others, coming out from beneath his ear, not all the way from the scalp, yes?

Do you get to paint him or is the commission just for the build? I can see why, after all this work, you'd want to get to put colour on him yourself.

Cheers, B.

@BPI: yes, i will be painting this guy...
i don't know how to sculpt, so i wouldn't have taken on a sculpting project if i didn't get to smooth out the mistakes with some clever paint...

@IronKobra: i think the new pose is much better as well...
it's not a revolutionary sculpt, but it's a big difference in vibe...

I love the figure...but I really don't like his hair. He looks like an aging hair-metal rocker with a receding hairline...

I'm sorry, man. It's just not doing it for me.

I really like this, still think he looks a little short, but I don't know why, as you have given a size comparison.
I think I need to try something like this, as I just don't like the stock mephiston mini.

To me the legs seem to short, they're about half the size of the entire length (not including the collar), especially the tights comes off as too short. Arms, chest and head are in proportion to each other, but the legs aren't. I think he could really do with some longer legs:) Other than that I think it looks great. Wish I could sculpt detail like that:(

he is too short in the legs...
no two ways about it...

given that this is a commission, and not a personal project, i had to work with the parts i was given...
there was nothing i could do, short of sculpting the whole thing from scratch, to solve the problem of the knees being low on the DA Vet. body...
the high collar, and the height extension at the waist, only ended up making things even more out of proportion...

oh well, live and learn...
this has been a very good learning process...
i can only thank the customer for the opportunity, and his infinite patience...

cheers
