for basic techniques:
- P3(Privateer Press) DVD Vol 1. : relly good at showing basic colors, drybrushing, layering, washes. mostly good for TTQ armies, but still fun to watch. The whole presentation flows really good. Altough I have no use of the material in it I still watch it sometimes.
- SteelDog DVD1 (I thing it was steel dog), shows basic assembly, layering on skin, drybrush, washes. As an extra part2 of the DVD is NMM.

intermediate:
- Hot-Lead: starts pretty basic (can be counted at the dvds for basic techs too), show a lot of im. things, then goes on the advanced topics. Has a lot of theory in it.
- JBT : similar DVD, but starts intermediate, and show a lot of good stuff too. Sometimes a little slow as a presentation (P3 DVD is easier to watch), but really shows some good stuff. And the vids are funny too (see the how-to-chainmail one :D lmao a lot on that)
these two could be the best for you.
- MiG 1-2: when you do tanks, use pigments or airbrush

advanced:
- Miniature Mentor ones

also I recommend the www.figurines-tv.com site. Has quite a few good painting vids. (from example: Thomas David, JBT) They are in french, but a lot can be understood just by viewing it.

Wow, thanks MAXXxxx. I've always had a bit of an issue making skin look realistic, so I'll give that DVD a look. Do you know of a good site that sells it at a low price?

hi,

sorry but no idea for low priced sources for them.

the one I called steel dog is here: http://www.paintingminiatures.info/ (also has a shop), as for skin, it's pretty good for armies, but for truly realistic skin I'd recommend the figurines-tv site (free female skinpainting video is there) or the JBT/Hot-lead/MMentor ones.
P3: obviusly from the privateerpress site(https://store.privateerpress.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=8744) / resellers, but to tell the truth I found this one on a torrent site

Hot-lead: mostly from CMON-shop, but http://www.hot-lead.org was my source if I remember correctly
JBT: http://www.kraken-editions.com/en/artefactory/dvd/index.html (I also seen a torrent for this one, but bought it because it's really worth it, and now V2 is out which corrects the DVD-structure errors in V1.)

MMentor: http://www.miniaturementor.com/

somewhere on youtube there are samples for each DVD, so they can be checked.

what I'd like to see sometime is this: http://www.figurines-tv.com/kws/mod.../videos completes/qqs-extraits-01.flv&ext=flv
it's in french, so I'll understand not a single word, but seeing it can still help.
