To be honest I think a gameboard setting works absolutely lovely for a squad shot. If your gameboard is cool, may as well make good use of it. Mini photography is very difficult. I didn't appreciate how hard when I first joined up here and was surprised by how many were blurred or dark. Your shots are lit well to see whats going on colour wise and thats the most important thing. I am majorly impressed with the camera on my new phone (HTC Sensation) and can honestly say it is equally as good as my dedicated Fuji with 10 zoom. If not better.. suprising.
I think the dread base GW supply is lack lustre yep, your basing is certainly better. I have a dread sitting in a box. Not sure what I am going to do with mine yet. Might hack the legs up and play about a bit I think. On the subject of drilling I was referring to your smoke launchers mate - not bolters. If its hidden drilling isn't always worth it, but your smoke launchers are front facing so I personally would drill them. People tend to be picky on points like that. I have seen someone criticise one of the top artists on here for not giving his marine sculpt a mohican, despite the piece being absolutely stunning. The guy doing the moaning in this case was obviously a fool, but sometimes attention to such small things can improve the piece.
