Champion came out nice. Is that straight up black with gray line highlights, or do i see some blue mixed in there? Maybe that's my eyes messing with me. Either way, looks good.

Wow, that is seriously the coolest thing ever. Wish I had thought of it! I really like beastmen features but don't really like fantasy so what a combo. Keep up the great work :D

Congratulations on the job! The piranha looks good. I like the battle damage you've got so far and it looks like you've picked out the edge highlights on some of the appropriate panels. The smiley face (alla Watchmen?) is a nice touch. For further weathering, you might try some oil paints diluted with a little white spirits to create a greasy/oily appearance on a set of vents or louvers. You also might use some weathering pigments mixed with white spirits to create rust streaks on body panels. Keep up the good work.

Dug out my Wight Dwarf collection last night, picked out some chaos/skaven/marine filled mags and had a filter through to try and work out the logistics. I think by far the most interesting one to do would be Rat Ogre too either terminators as mentioned above (although there body is too small in my opinion) or chaos obliterators which certainly seem to have a much more suited body build.

I will deffo take them down the chaos route. I was thinking maybe nurgle-esq theme try and keep them as viable as possible if you get what I mean. My biggest concern would be basic troops though. The legs are the biggest issue, putting a rat head onto a marine body and sticking a tail on it seems fine. Also making it seem like its hunched over wont be an issue either, but the feet 'technically' would just fill a marine boot fine unlike your Beastmen. I feel this may draw away from the interest of the conversion. I mean I could do the feet outside of the boot, but skaven feet are ridiculously under-proportioned to the space marine suit.

I'm better than a beginner at converting for sure, my painting however can be very hit and miss. Not used to doing darker schemes since I'm used to painting High Elves / Hive Fleet Leviathan nids, but totally want to give this a go.

id keep them with the loyal codex, maybe fabius bile had tricked them into letting him 'adjust' their DNA, and then they look like this, outcast from the imperium, but still loyal to the emperor, now utilsing their beatial sde to fight chaos, having to scavange equipment from the forces they use. the remnants of their armour are still kept with them, but much fell into disrepair and had to be abondoned, their forge ships and such were destroyed by the inquisition when they were cast out.
