[Sand Rat]

Da mek McGyvork was in trouble with his Waaaghhh Boss, Da Duque. Da Duque had seen da humies and der ability to make landings in areas under control. Being a Blood Ork, da boss wanted to steal this idea from the humies - and it was up to McGyvork to supply it. If he didn't, da Boss would find some way to get what he wanted - he always did.

Enough back story - my latest project/conversion - Da Orkspry.

And finally a comparison of the tops - I made some changes to the starboard nacelle layout - as McGyvork says "You wants them to be bilatterally simmetric? What the Zog is dat??"

It looks like the woes of someone who buys greenstuff in the strips. The cured bits in the middle have plagued us all, have they not?

When getting the gs, get some magicsculp or apoxie sculpt too, if you mix with gs, it's much nicer. You can file/carve when cured too to get rid of those fingerprints!

A brief update -

Da flight crew and da main cabin - now they need to be painted so I can finish the assembly on the outer hull

I finally found a use for those little tiny orks from the first box set I bought.

McGyvork walked in to see da Duke, somewhat worried that this might be it for him - der had been a lot of delays on da Duke's pet project, da Orkspry. However, da flight crew was trained and ready to go, and da control gubbins was all in place -

and da back of da ting was ready as well -

Now, just to keep da grots hard at work on da body.

Bump - not a lot of progress here I know, but I've got a three day weekend coming up - and have warned the wife that the airbrush is coming out - look for painting and salt weathering experimentation to be posted next week.
