@Einion: Sure you can. I've voted on 150 minis over the last two days, didn't take that long.

To me it's actually a bit of a practice to make my mind up about things even if it's just voting on a mini. I've realized more and more that it in many cases is better to make a decision whatever it is then to contemplate things too long or even not choosing at all because it's difficult. Both in career and other things. Like here it is more important for the fairness of the system that people vote something they like without much thinking rather then people contemplating long if a mini is for example a 7 or an 8 and in the process perhaps not even voting at all.

I'm assuming our current vote totals are for entries that are still extant in the Gallery? IE where picture hosts have vanished or peoples accounts have filled up and the Gallery entries are lost, I also lose that pics vote from my tally?

Would explain why some folks have seen their numbers decrease. I've gone from 5455 yesterday to 5454 today. I'd rather a total of all the entries I've ever voted on, whether the pics still exist or not. Perhaps some issue with that that I'm missing?

One of my consistent problems (going on years now) is that it won't let me stay logged in to that part of the site. Even when I'm logged into the forums I can be logged out there and loads of times when I've done a block of voting after following links from Discuss Submissions I notice I wasn't logged in, so all of them didn't get counted as mine.

Glad to see I'm not alone in the low numbers. But for me I tended to Comment and Vote, which I think is better.

4000! Managed the last 250 while the kids were watching Monster Inc.

However. There is something very, very wrong with the voting. I noticed it and started keeping track. Out of 80 votes, 67 of them had only 36 votes when they popped up for me. Everything after September 2011 has just 36 votes when they appear. That's too much to be a coincidence.

So, I went to browse the gallery, sorted by most recent. Go to page 6 or so to get into it. Nearly everything on that page has 36 votes. The ones that don't are either 37 or 38, which I'd imagine reflect the votes that happened today. I even recognized a few that I voted on, which would explain them.

I think the votes aren't being recorded past 36 votes. Something is deleting them.

EDIT: Just did another 57 votes. 9 from November, 22 from October, and 26 from September. Every single one was at 36 votes. I'm personally not going to vote any more until this is fixed. People ARE voting, they're just not being kept!

Errr he's right you know checked myself and other than about two per page they are ALL on 35 or 36 votes. I've been voting a lot too just in case it's no one voting but unless the people on this thread are the only people out of the 8000 or so C'MON posters then what the bejesus is going on???!!!!!

Okay, here's a little test. Selected more or less randomly, here's one from November 27 with more than 36 votes. It currently has 62.

So, in the Browse Gallery, it has two flanking submissions.

I just tried voting for the first one. Three times. I cannot get my vote to register. It says I voted (after going to the next image), but reloading it doesn't show that I have voted for it. The views go up, but not the vote count. After I post this, it'll be a full cache erase and reload. I'll edit to see if it registered, or will register.

Just voted on the third one. It shows that I voted, and gives the indication of what my vote was, but the vote count does NOT go up.

And in both of those above, the view counts go up by 2 every time I refresh.

Okay, didn't have to re-edit. The first one now has 66 votes (4 of my own).

So, vote count as of now is: 66, 37, and 37. Let's see if after a day those last two get reset back down to 36.

So then it appears that out of the 8095 registered people posting pictures most of the time only 30-40 of them are voting. By my maths that's about 0.4% of them. Wow that's not good! Almost makes you wish that there was some sort of software glitch rather than over 99% of people not bothering! May I suggest that on the browse gallery icon that there is a clear option of being directed to recently posted pictures. I know that if you double click the browse icon that you do get directed to the recently posted pictures but i only found that out by following the forums. Also maybe some form of financial incentive say 10% off a purchase after voting on so many pictures to encourage voting. I for one would be happy to pay a bit more on the subscription to help pay for it. If not this then some other form of incentive platinum gold or silver star next to your name or something. Otherwise it may take many months for new members to ever get a rating maybe only getting that on one or two of the oldest and possibly least succesful models ( i know my average scores have been slowly improving dread to think I'd be judged off the first couple of old offerings as they were for want of a better word poo!).

See, I really can't grasp that it has been just 0.4% people voting for the last three months, without fail, with them voting on every single thing that pops up. And the registered votes show randomness, so those 36 exact votes are complicated by actually being larger than 36, but magically stopping at 36 votes. It's too bizarre.

I have suspiscions of what is happening, but need to see what happens to the actual counts.

Well either way; not enough votes or software glitch, things got to change for a site dedicated to voting on miniatures if there's no votes to speak of.
