...about the shields, well, why not? :D he has just armored the toad a little.
That is true, but 3 is better than 2, and it would help to mimic the Nurgle symbol. Or I could just be telling you that in the hopes of getting more freehand...

The sacred number of Nurgle is 7, maybe 7 shields? ;)

well chad i figured i want to finish this toad this century, so two shields has to be enough this time ;P

first plan was to add one shield on the other side, but it was too much cutcuthackhacksawsaw conversion work to make it fit.

I suppose I see your point. I'm am sure it will be great either way! But if you did cover it in feehand shields I wouldn't argue.

ok image makes it look like poop but you might get the idea. slowly getting there. not really sure when to attach the body to the toad though, as a big part of the stomach is sculpted on the toad. this will be interesting...

got me a bunch of P3 colors yesterday, very happy with those! also go some andrea paints i won in an online competition, but they are a little earthly for my taste, that said i only tested two pots so far.

ischa, figured an easy base for this one. ok not "2 second sand, flock drybrush easy" but nothing that advanced. but if you got an awesome idea im all yours! not going to be able to finish this project this year, but early jan at least.

m_nosebleeds, really!?! :)

also started to prep the next 52mm mini, milliput, lots of good old sanding in front of me. its a christmas gift to my father, shouldnt take that much time to paint. hopefully. also decided to ditch the guitarr to fasten it up a bit. not what i call a fun mini to paint but he really deserves it so i guess i have to sacrifise myself a bit :)

Whoa! That's an amizingly interesting miniature, and the work you've done on it already is spectacular. Very vivid skin color (even if it's grey) and the eye is really alive.
EDIT: Haha, I was looking at a completely different page of your log when I made that comment :D - on that Elephant warrior you were doing a couple of years ago.

The Nurgle Lord/Plaguebearer conversion is indeed very cool too. The banner and the metal armor parts are superb.

Since I've been paging through this, might as well add that this whole log is really good. Lots of diverse and exceptionally well done miniatures. Bunch of good ideas in there.

the rider looks really awesome and the shields and banners, congrats on that, really beautiful :) Can I ask how you did the legs of the rider? Did you sculpt the belly and used the legs of the rider? It's well done and I'm interested :p

I could see leaving the guitar off the gift, as he was really more of a singer anyway. But I understand if you still go for it. If you do good luck, I know your father will love it.
