Looking good.. maybe not chrome, but still looking good. I am following your WIP and feel that you made huge improvement. It is amazing how a WIP, sharing and getting feedback can motivate people then improving their skills by pushing them to go further!
I also like the red and overall color scheme.

Krule - yeah, you're right. I haven't got the brainpower to process that. I'm going to go back to dark grey metallic. I will take what I learned with the chrome and will use it elsewhere.
Boubi - thanks. I try to improve with each mini, and feedback from all the amazing painters here is a large part of my success.

Well keeping with the momentum from the brute, I started Draznicht (I think that's his name).
I like the skin, but I'm struggling with that silly third eye. I can't get it to look right.

That skin looks great. Has a really lovely (gross) pallour about it. Looks properly translucent.

Third eye looks good in that photo.

Corrrect. now step two;

What are the surroundings for the miniature?

Hmm - in this instance, I'd imagine you'd get reflections of the robot itself, and since it's Infinity I'm picturing an urban landscape full of neon signs and tall buildings. Not a lot of blue sky.

And that's where things get complicated. I don't want to add buildings in, since the reflections wouldn't make sense without scenery. I've got the red represented already, although I'm sure it could use some tweaking. And that leaves the sky. I can go more grey, but I fear that if I take out all of the blue, it will just look like grey nmm.

Many, many thanks to Milosh for his guidance on sheer. It's a bit greyer than I wanted, but I'm happy enough to move on. I'm surprised at how quickly a mini of this size paints. Not a lot left - white belt and gloves, ivory underskirt and undies, groceries, and then shoes and choker color tbd.

It's the same colors I used on the hellbrute - base coat with a mix of charadon granite/rotting flesh, work to pure rotting flesh, then work in a little vallejo basic skintone for the highlights and some warmth.

You're welcome - although most of the WIP pics I post here (pretty much any without the blue background) have been taken with my phone, which shows a noticable blue tint to everything. Just an FYI.

Thanks Krule. It's the glaze medium. I love that stuff. I could actually put a thin layer down, and even wipe off the excess or smooth it out with my finger. And it actually imparts a slight sheen which goes with the stockings.
