You can always just strap it to the outside of your backpack!

I've always thought that FW Vermin Lord model was such a cool sculpt. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of changes you're making. I'm sure you'll do something even cooler.

yeah i usually try to find a dummy/donkey to carry stuff for me. not this time though :/ lol
Well Andy and Mike are going Skel.
Superb! They could carry a palanquin between them. I do hope they're roughly the same height though...
AndyG's a fair bit taller than me, so that won't work.
However ten ball is about the same height, but he might be spending the day bent double...............

yeah well the real reason for a donkeyperson/squire is to carry some of my stuff in the airplane. don't believe the brittish lads are up for that!

as for the verminlord the sculpt is awesomly cool 80%. the rest 20% is however pretty mediocre, like the chest area, really shitty sculpt. still love it though, but much in my paintjob couldve been better. and the base will get an update too i believe.
chopped off his hand holding the empire guy, replacing it with a banner instead, looking for some kewl freehand to paint there :) will be fun!

ty digganob, ill do my best to please ;)

I'll happily carry the stuff for you........Oooops Crash, Bang and Wallop.
"There wasn't anything fragile in there was there", he asked innocently?

That's one GREEEEEN ork mate. The patience necessary to layer up the ink to make the contrast is inhuman! I think it's just clicked with me how you do what you do. Very very effective but god man it must take you hours and hours!

Could you or Skel elaborate on what you mean by this? A mini SBS on what you mean. Are you just saying that he glazes a ton of slightly varied tones atop each other to get that kind of contrast?

Hah! And people think I am mad for connecting 230 tank track links one by one... Hah!

Yeah.. probably the tank tracks that makes people think you're crazy. ;D

Thanks. And I do the same. Is there any more to it than that? Just glazing a ton of layers?

I don't know how many layers you paint, but when we use the term "a ton of layers" it's not too far off. ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong skel, but you use what? Between 50 and 80 layers on most surfaces? I recall it being a number along those lines. I think those of us baffled by that just considers the amount of patience and precision involved.

Then of course, there's also the skel metallics..

and the years of practice to achieve that level of steady hand-syndrome, color sense, personal style and planning ability=) having seen stefan paint a few times, i can still never tell what paint goes on next. to achieve a even grey color with some sub tones, he goes through the weirdest palette of blue, bright green, reds, dark greens, pinks, browns, smoke, purple etc etc. anything but orange tbh.

thanks friends!
i am slightly recovering from a quite horrible throat infection, still hurts some but here i am at work. yeye... need the $$$.

back from uk and the salute competition, been a great weekend. Salute was soooooo huge! and thanks again Andy for grerat hospitality, i give you 5 stars ;)

in the competition, all my five entries made the cut, ended up with 2x2nd places with my skeleton regiment and toad rider.

had some painting done yesterday, project vermin lord v2.0. when i look at the mini its kind of fun to see how much better ive become the latest 1-2 years, it didnt really feel that way but looking at him its kind of obvious. he is not really that awesomly painted and actually a lot of work to make look really good. I really do love skaven, easily my favourite GW faction.

anyway, he is going to have a banner so here is first WIP picture. more green flames and mystic symbols ahead.

kind of happy to have painted this in a day. it is so fun when everything just flows :)
